Manager, Information Security and Compliance (Los Angeles OR Pheonix)

A paint manufacturing company is seeking a Manager, Information Security and Compliance join their IT team! This role leads the organization’s IT security and compliance function, ensuring adherence to J‑SOX, PCI, and industry frameworks such as CIS and NIST within a retail/manufacturing environment. The position defines, implements, and manages the overall IT security strategy, oversees annual compliance efforts and cybersecurity assessments, and ensures timely remediation of identified risks. It partners closely with business stakeholders and senior IT leadership to define technology requirements, run governance and project review meetings, and successfully deliver multiple initiatives on time and within budget. Responsibilities include managing IT security assets, vendors, contracts, budgets, RFPs, and business case development while maintaining strong executive‑level communication across the organization. The role also manages and develops a team and applies deep knowledge of networks, end‑user systems, and on‑premise and cloud data center operations to ensure ongoing security and compliance. This is a permanent position with a base salary range of $140,000 - $155,000. This is a hybrid role (3x a week onsite) in either Commerce, CA or Pheonix, AZ.

5-7 years of experience working in retail and/or manufacturing industry working with internal systems
Background as a Compliance Analyst, Systems Administrator, Security Analyst, and/or a role within this field
Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), J-SOX preferred
Experience with Payment Card Institute (PCI) standards
Experience working with auditors, systems administrators, and network engineers

Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
PCI Internal Security Assessor (ISA)
Project Management Professional (PMP)
Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
