Job Description

Insight Global is looking to hire on a Data Scientist for a large financial service's company in the Charlotte, NC or Addison, TX. This candidate will be onsite on a hybrid basis of 3 days in the office and 2 days remote. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze, model, and extract insights from large-scale text data using natural language processing (NLP) techniques. Responsibilities will include applying NLP techniques to analyze and process text data, including sentiment analysis, entity recognition, and topic modeling. The data scientist should have strong SQL, data mining, analytics, and data cleaning skills. This role combines data science skills to engineer automation solutions, help drive decisions, and break down complex business problems.

Required Skills & Experience

2-4 years experience in NLP programming
Experience with finetuning Large Language Models (LLMs) or writing language models from scratch.
Experience in one or more of the following areas: entity/relation extraction, information extraction, summarization, semantics, document classification, ontology, question answering, and knowledge graph.
Demonstrated background in NLP and machine learning.
Track-record of having developed novel algorithms.
Experience in deep learning - phonetics (valued)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Advanced degree in Data Science with a focus in NLP valued.
Experience with large scale data analysis tools such as Spark, Hadoop.
NLP programming in R and or Python / Anaconda
