Job Description

An employer is looking for a Technical Support Engineer to work onsite at their facility in Boise, Idaho. This person will be responsible for the troubleshooting/repair of any low/medium complexity PC devices and all simple installation/move/add/change services. They will also perform software application troubleshooting and support for the core Microsoft applications (Windows 11, Office Suite, etc.). Basic complexity desk-side support activities, such as, but not limited to, data backup & migration, security administration, password resets, etc. This person will apply basic foundational principles, theories and concepts to assignments of limited scope. Utilizes professional concepts and theoretical technical knowledge acquired through specialized training, education and/or previous experience. Exercises independent judgment within defined parameters. Develops expertise and practical l knowledge of applications within business environment. Acts as team member by providing information, analysis and recommendations in support of team efforts. Additional scope could include replenishing onsite vending machines with PC accessories (such as, mice, USB flash drives, headsets, etc.).

This role is onsite in Boise, ID - Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (1 hour lunch).

Required Skills & Experience

0-2 years of experience in technical support role

Experience in basic break/fix support (technical diagnosis and repair/exchange of defective hardware)

Basic understanding of networking (how a PC connects to a network; how to troubleshoot related issues)

Experience troubleshooting software applications and supporting core Microsoft applications

Excellent customer service and written/verbal communication

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience with ServiceNOW

Experience with Active Directory
