Job Description

The first week or two will be training another segmentation designer on the team while they get access to all of the necessary database. This person will be utilizing a proprietary software that uses images from CT scans and converts them into 3D models and places a few landmarks to be used in the design and planning of our cases. They will also use Scan2Health and Microsoft Office tools extensively. The other important aspect of this position is that this will be a heavy team environment, with the individual working closely with not only members of his/hers own team but also other functions of the department, depending on the needs of each case. This is a metrics based environment for daily targets/team average. Minimum of 5.5/day. Each case takes about 40 -- 45min.

1. Dicom is downloaded from cd or website -- preprocessing -- placing hip and ankle and defining left vs right

2. Gets shorted out until exported dicom -- exported into seg process

3. Run auto seg- then go in and make sure that the auto seg picked up the bone correctly- then go in and make manual edits -- femur versus tibia -- landmarks -- mainly for the guides for the bone to ensure precision of surgery

4. Has a whole queue of cases that has deadlines that need to be met dicoms have certain amount of time

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills/Experience

* 0 -- 2 years of experience in a related role

* Bachelor's degree -- biomedical/biomechanical/MET/physics majors

* 3d modeling software packages experience -- imaging mimics or amira or NX or solidworks

* Spatial awareness/attention to detail -- wants perfection/best solution -- but has to be receptive to feedback -- help me understand why/how this could look better
