Job Description

In this role, you will work within an agile development team, that includes software developers, business analysts, product owners, subject matter experts (SMEs), and test analysts. You will work closely with the team’s Business Analyst to define the product scope, ensuring alignment with business goals. As the Solution Architect, you will be accountable for the technical design and at times will need to communicate technical information in a non-technical manner. Your responsibilities will include establishing and maintaining an appropriate application-level architecture for the team, organizing development work, and ensuring the code quality meets the standards. You will conduct code reviews and act as the gatekeeper for the code base, ensuring the coherence of the product as it evolves. This opportunity is with one of our largest scientific research companies we partner with and is expected to be a 2-year-long project with the opportunity to convert full-time. Upon submission to our client, we’ll request two professional references. The target pay rate is $68-72/hr based on experience.

Required Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or possess equivalent work experience. They should have over five years of experience developing high-performance, multi-tier applications and demonstrate strong proficiency in software development processes, engineering design principles, and cross-functional collaboration. Expertise in designing systems using complex relational databases and translating business processes into system and data models is essential, along with strong API design skills and an understanding of modern security standards. Proficiency in C#.NET is required, with solid experience in MS SQL Server, Entity Framework, and REST API development—including the ability to test APIs and write integration test scripts. On the front end, the candidate must be skilled in Angular 16+ and RX JS. Familiarity with Scrum/Agile methodologies and experience deploying CI/CD pipelines within Azure are also necessary.
