Insight Global is looking for a Process Engineer to sit locally in Ames, IA to work for a biodiesel plant. This person will be a key member a support team who's mission is to operate optimally, reliably, predictably, and without incident at the lowest sustainable cost. This role primarily focuses on PSM compliance for the biodiesel facilities, including pressure relief, equipment, and asset documentation.
Responsibilities:
Documentation Management: Gather and verify equipment information, correct outdated or missing documentation, and maintain detailed records of changes, including initiating Management of Change (MOC) requests
Pressure Relief Device Documentation: Prepare process safety information (PSI) packages for third-party contractors, respond to RFIs, and verify facility information
Technical Review: Critically review technical information, identify inconsistencies, and communicate proactively with relevant engineers
Continuous Improvement: Adhere to best practices for document management to enhance the quality of the CREG PSI library
PSM Compliance: Follow Process Safety Management regulations and Chevron standards, including the Management of Change process
Communication: Communicate clearly and proactively
Attention to Detail: Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail
Independent Work: Manage multiple assignments independently and complete tasks on time
Compensation:
$40/hr to $65/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Bachelors degree in chemical or mechanical engineering, or equivalent
Minimum 3 years of process engineering experience with experience in process safety, and working in a PSM facility
Experience with pressure relief calculations
Ability to travel up to 40%
