Insight Global is looking for a On-Farm Research Agronomist for a top agriscience client in the Indiana/Michigan/Ohio area and occasionally South Dakota. They will be leading execution of on-farm experimentation plan of work in target geography.
Relationship building with farmers, sales representatives (seed and CP), agronomists
Strong verbal and written communication skills to understand and communicate project goals
Identify growers and secure locations for trials
Preparation as needed, such as mapping, soil sampling, sensor installation, agronomic data collection, etc.
Discuss protocol and ensure proper execution by farmer
Resolve questions and challenges as they arise
In-season data collection, may require collaboration with other colleagues and significant road time
Update and management of real-time data dashboards to ensure timely and quality data collection
Geospatial data capture, along with relevant meta data
Weekly, monthly, period-based geographic summaries to Leadership, Project Leadership, Commercial Leadership, and other stakeholders
Complete datasets delivered to project lead at agreed-upon date
Presentations and demonstrations as requested.

Bachelors degree with 3+ yoe related experience or Masters in consider degrees in agronomy, soil science, biology, digital agronomy, precision agriculture, data science, ecology (prioritized in this order)
Experience working with farmers in 1-1 setting
Knowledge of farming, agronomic challenges, current seed and crop protection products, management practices
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to travel, with ~50-75% in-season possible (vehicle provided).
