Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Tax Accountant/Financial Analyst to work with one of our clients in Des Moines, IA. Our client provides high caliber legal services to businesses, public institutions, and individuals located in Iowa and across the nation.



In this role you will support the attorneys in the practice area of Estate and Trusts by providing services including document preparation and review, contacting, and working directly with clients, and tax return preparation. We are looking for someone who has excellent written and verbal communication as you will be meeting and working directly with attorney's as well as clients on a daily basis. Someone who will be successful in this role will be, highly organized, detail oriented and able to manage multiple projects and prioritize those projects in a fast-paced environment under challenging situations.

Other responsibilities include:

- Preparation of fiduciary, estate, inheritance, gift income, and personal tax returns.

- Preparation of states and trust tax returns using ProSystem software.

- Estate planning, financial modeling and income taxation planning which may include the preparation of personal financial statements and projections.

- Drafting documents required for probate and trust administration

- Maintains files and ensures proper storage and filing of original documents. Able to retrieve documents as needed.

Required Skills & Experience

- 3+ years of experience as an Accountant

- 2+ years of experience preparing tax returns/tax processing

- Excellent communication, both verbally and written

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field

- Proficient with Microsoft Excel

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- CPA Certification

- Trust and Estate Experience

- ProSystem Software experience
