Insight Global is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer for a leading engineering-driven client in the HVAC and connected systems space. This individual will play a critical role across the full product lifecycle, from early concept development through system architecture, integration, and validation. The ideal candidate brings strong systems thinking and hands-on expertise working with embedded and electro-mechanical products, ensuring robust and compliant system solutions.
This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional global teams spanning hardware, software, controls, and validation. You will be responsible for defining system behavior, managing requirements, and ensuring seamless integration across complex systems. The position offers the opportunity to influence product performance, quality, and reliability while contributing to innovative system design and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience
Must-Haves:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering
• Strong Systems Engineering experience following INCOSE principles
• Experience across full product lifecycle (concept → requirements → architecture → validation)
• Experience with embedded, connected, or electro-mechanical systems (HVAC, automotive, rail, aero, or energy systems preferred)
• Experience with system requirements definition, functional decomposition, and interface management
• Proven ability to author and maintain system-level requirements and specifications
• Experience with requirements management tools (JIRA, Confluence, or similar)
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills (hardware, software, validation teams)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Plusses:
• Experience with MBSE (Model-Based Systems Engineering)
• HVAC product or controls domain experience
• Experience with system modes, state modeling, and control logic design
• Exposure to communication interfaces, sensors, and control systems design
• Experience supporting EOL testing, commissioning, and diagnostics
• Background in regulatory compliance and validation processes
• Continuous improvement mindset for systems engineering practices
