Job Description

The Manufacturing Engineer will play a critical role in supporting the T1–2 vehicle launch within General Assembly at the Fort Wayne Assembly Plant. This position is responsible for ensuring manufacturing readiness, validating new processes and equipment, and driving seamless integration of launch content into a high‑volume production environment. The ideal candidate brings deep automotive experience, industrial engineering capability, and a proven track record supporting major vehicle launches from concept through acceptance.

Required Skills & Experience

10+ years of experience in the automotive industry
Strong background in General Assembly operations, including tooling, process flow, and workstation design.
Demonstrated experience supporting vehicle launches, including validation, integration, commissioning, and acceptance of new equipment and processes.
Solid industrial engineering foundation, including line balancing, time studies, and process optimization.
Strong working knowledge of GD&T and its application in manufacturing and assembly environments.
Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and drive issue resolution in fast‑paced launch environments.
Proficiency in PLC logic (troubleshooting, understanding ladder logic, supporting controls integration).
