Knowledge of PFMEA, DVP&R, ESW, and PLM processes
Define and own the end-to-end validation strategy for cloud-connected telematics systems
Develop system-level test plans, test cases, and validation frameworks
Collaborate with cloud, device, and data teams to clarify requirements and interfaces
Support system engineering activities including cloud architecture and requirements
Identify gaps in current validation approaches and propose scalable methodologies
Drive issue investigation and root cause analysis across distributed systems
Contribute to automation strategies for APIs, data pipelines, and simulations
Improve observability, reliability, and performance validation practices
Align stakeholders across cloud, device, data, and OEM partner teams
Act as a technical bridge translating complex challenges into actionable improvements
Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Cloud Validation Subject Matter Expert (SME) for a top automotive and telematics client. This candidate will own the end-to-end validation strategy for cloud-connected systems, working across cloud infrastructure, devices, and data pipelines to ensure reliability, scalability, and system quality. The ideal candidate brings a strong system engineering mindset, experience validating distributed cloud systems, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams to adopt standardized, scalable validation practices.

Required Skills & Experience
4–7 years of experience with IoT, telematics, or connected systems
Experience defining and owning end-to-end validation strategies
Cloud infrastructure validation experience (AWS, Azure, or similar)
API contract testing, schema validation, and data pipeline validation experience
Experience with distributed systems issue investigation and root cause analysis
Understanding of data flow across connected devices, ECMs, and cloud services
Ability to translate ambiguous requirements into structured test plans
Hands-on experience with Dynatrace, MongoDB, and ArgoCD
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Strong background in system engineering or system-level validation (not component-only testing)
Familiarity with CAN / J1939, telematics devices, or vehicle systems
Experience with test automation frameworks
Knowledge of event-driven architectures and modern data pipelines
Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
Comfortable challenging legacy processes and driving scalable improvements
