Job Description
As the Director of Security, you will serve as the strategic and operational leader for all security functions across the property, including oversight of investigations when required. You’ll guide and support a team of Security Shift Managers, Supervisors, and Officers, ensuring 24/7 coverage, regulatory compliance, and a safe environment for guests, team members, and property assets. You will also mentor your leadership team, drive performance, and maintain smooth, discreet operations in a fast‑paced casino setting.
Key Responsibilities:
· Deliver exceptional service and address guest concerns promptly
· Hire, train, supervise, and support security management staff across all shifts
· Provide operational oversight to ensure departmental goals, standards, and budgets are achieved
· Communicate effectively and in a timely manner with all members of Security Leadership
· Implement training programs that uphold high service, safety, and operational standards
· Ensure compliance with company policies and gaming regulations; collaborate with local, state, and federal agencies as needed
· Stay informed on local criminal activity and maintain strong relationships with law enforcement and other gaming security teams
· Maintain a professional working relationship with the Indiana Gaming Commission
· Provide incident support to management during sensitive or high‑risk situations, including terminations, thefts, and guest or team member issues
· Oversee all safety training, including CPR/AED, First Aid, emergency planning, report writing, and accident investigations
· Develop and lead emergency response plans for incidents such as fire, flooding, severe weather, or active threats; serve as the On‑Scene Leader during emergencies
· Stay current on laws impacting the property and conduct investigations as necessary
· Prepare accurate and timely reports to keep leadership informed of security‑related incidents
· Oversee transportation standards and ensure proper maintenance of department vehicles
· Perform additional duties as assigned by the VP of Casino Operations

Required Skills & Experience
· Must have prior experience in a Director‑level role
· 5–10+ years of experience leading Security Operations (casino environment preferred; comparable experience in mall, convention hotel, or similar high‑traffic venues also considered)
· Demonstrated success overseeing and developing multi‑tiered teams
· Strong communication, documentation, and sound decision‑making abilities
· Proven ability to operate with discretion and professionalism in a fast‑paced, high‑security setting
· Flexibility to work variable shifts and schedules as needed
· Must pass a background check and drug screening, and maintain a clean driving record to qualify for and retain a gaming license
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Associates degree or higher, preferred.
• Casino gaming experience or similar regulated industry.
• Experience with regulatory reporting and audit preparation.
• Military or Police/Law Enforcement background.
• CPR and First Aid/AED, Blood Borne Pathogens Certification, preferred.
