Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a CMM Programmer for a leading provider of complex composites, assemblies and tooling in the aerospace industry. The CMM Programmer is responsible for programming and operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to ensure aerospace components meet strict dimensional and quality standards. This role requires expertise in measurement science, metrology, and advanced mathematics to inspect parts, calibrate equipment, and interpret complex engineering drawings. The programmer will utilize PolyWorks software, primarily working with the Absolute Arm, and apply knowledge of electronics and precision instruments to maintain compliance with AS9100 and ISO standards. Success in this position demands strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. This is a direct hire role, located in Indianapolis, working from 7:30 am - 4:00 pm with a rotating overtime schedule on the weekend if needed.

Required Skills & Experience

3+ years of CMM experience, programming, and operating
Experience using PolyWorks
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprint readings
Knowledge of tool calibration, tracking tools, and GD&T
Communicate with Quality Engineers, Process Engineers, Product Engineers, Quality Technicians, and others as necessary regarding the transfer of data and methods of measurement
High school Diploma or GED
