Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a controls system engineer to join one of our large defense and manufacturing clients. This individual will specify, design and validate complex sub-systems, including high-level requirements for software and hardware system components. Responsible for on-time delivery and quality of control system work products associated with the validation, design and verification of the system. This includes evaluation and modelling of requirements, design, and verification work products to ensure that the system implementation satisfies the validated requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Engineering
5+ years of experience as a System Engineer with an embedded software background
o Strong emphasis on validating requirements, requirements gathering, requirements documentation, reviewing requirements with stakeholders
o Experience with embedded software projects
Experience with developing critical safety system requirements for either electronic engine control systems, hvac controls or related critical safety systems
Experience with configuration management, tracking and managing system configurations
Experience with Cameo System Modeler or related MBSE tool (preference- can be trained if related tool applies)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Previous aerospace or defense experience, specifically aircraft engine interfaces
Component level testing and hard/soft and soft/soft integrations
Experience with ARP 4761 or ARP 4754 compliance standards
