Overview:
Insight Global is seeking an Engineering Technologist Associate to support one of the nation's leading utility companies at their Fort Wayne, IN location. As an Engineering Technologist, you will perform entry-level tasks and projects under the supervision of an assigned supervisor, applying your engineering technology knowledge safely and efficiently. You will gain familiarity with relevant standards, codes, and equipment, and assist higher-level employees with routine problems. Your role includes following company policies, maintaining records, and preparing reports. You will also participate in planning meetings, contribute to budget forecasts, and solve basic technical problems. The assets you will be working with can range from transmission & substations to manufacturing equipment. Effective communication and teamwork are essential, as you will interact with various stakeholders and assist in preparing technical reports. Developing decision-making skills and understanding the organizational structure are key deliverables in this role.
Responsibilities:
Report to the Supervisor of Project Design: this supervisor will be providing guidance on project work and deliverables
Collaborating with engineering teams across the companies on multiple projects
Overseeing projects from cradle to grave, providing documentation and assistance
Conducting test and reports for major equipment
Assisting with capital budget forecast for major projects
