Job Description

Overview:

One of our energy and utility clients is looking for a transmission planning engineer to join their new team. This team is working directly with cooperative members for projects and communicating all research and updates weekly. After project planning and research is complete, you will then work directly with the substation group on the desing and construction delivery. There are multiple members of the cooperative and you will manage multiple projects at once, ensuring you are prioritizing, staying organized, and keeping all members updated.



Day to Day:

* Work directly with transmission teammates, reporting to transmission planning manager

* Oversee multiple projects, so the ability to multitask is crucial

* Meeting daily with memebers of the cooperative discussing new project development, land, timelines, designs, and more

* Perform short- and long-term transmission power flow, transfer capability, voltage stability, and other studies

* Work with substation team on research results as well as design delivery

Required Skills & Experience

Must Haves:

* Electrical Engineering Degree

* Industry planning experience within transmission, substation, distribution, or another electrical field

* Experience working with Microsoft Projects

* Great presentation capabilities

Plusses

* Experience working with PSSE (Power System Simulation for Engineering)
