Job Description

Our client is seeking a Utility Analyst to join their team!



This position is Hybrid - candidates must be comfortable with working 1 day/week in the office and 4 days/week WFH.

The AP Analyst role will provide a variety of utility management support functions and duties aligned with an accounts payable position that performs various accounts payable tasks and some basic accounting tasks according to standard operating procedures. These tasks include processing invoices, cash receipts and/or timecards and assisting with the creation of accrual schedules.



This role will ensure all utility management tasks are properly tracked and addressed in a timely manner. This role involves dealing with third-party partners, such as bill payers, and managing energy software. In addition, the Utility Analyst will be responsible for fulfilling the team's data needs related to quality improvement and quality assurance.



Key Responsibilities



* Prioritize and maintain organization of a high volume work load.

* Perform invoice review, validation, coding and submission to ensure timely payment to venders. This includes applying proper internal controls and obtaining approval for vendor invoice processing.

* Communicate with venders and Facility Managers by telephone or email to obtain outstanding requirements and resolve escalated Accounts Payable issues.

* Respond to vender, client and staff requests for account information.

* May support others with accrual, audit or reconciliation functions.

* Use Yardi for a variety of report generation to support account finance.

* Perform special projects as assigned by senior account management.

* Utility Management Support:

o Track and manage utility management tasks to ensure timely completion.

o Collaborate with relevant teams to address any utility-related issues that may arise.

o Conduct regular reviews and analysis of utility data to identify areas for improvement.

* Data Management for Quality Improvement

o Gather, analyze, and interpret data related to utility management processes.

o Identify trends and patterns to improve the quality and efficiency of utility management.

o Develop reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.

Required Skills & Experience

* 5+ years of Accounts Payable experience

* 3+ years of Utility industry experience

* Strong data management and reporting skills

* Strong Excel

* Bachelors (preferred)

* Experience with Yardi (preferred)
