Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Metrology Technician to support one of our large aerospace clients in Indianapolis, Indiana. The purpose of this position is to calibrate and adjust equipment in lab or on the production floor in accordance with established procedures or program requirements.; this individual may also assist in creating calibration procedures for new equipment. This candidate will be working in a lab environment but will also go out on the floor and do calibrations on the floor. They will be working with physical Dimensions -- calibrators, torque wrenches, dial indicators, squares, optical, laser devices, mass, weights, measurements, pressure gages/pressure devices, etc. 85-90% of the day will be spent in the lab associated with the calibrations and checking in/out equipment. The rest of the time will be spent learning cross-functional activities and assisting with writing procedures.

Required Skills & Experience

* ~5+ years of previous work experience in Physical Dimensional and instrumentation, calibrating and working with a calibration recall system

* Associate degree, or higher, in STEM.

* Familiarity with ISO 17025 and Laboratory Accreditation.

* Knowledge of calibration standards ; ISO 9001, 9002, 17025, AS9100

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

* Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL) experience

* Military or other formalized training on the processes and procedures for performing calibration

* Focused experience on Phys D, measurement tools or power supplies

* Experience with Electronics or RF equipment
