Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Sr. Automation Technician for an end client in Greenfield, IN. This person will be responsible for supporting a project building, developing, and designing an automated battery module line. This is a large capital equipment product which makes large batteries for energy storage. The position is responsible for deployment, integration, and maintenance of factory automation systems. This position will be required to validate customer specified operation metrics and to commission the equipment at the customer's site. Close collaboration with controls engineers, mechanical engineers, and other technicians for problem solving is also required.

Required Skills & Experience

4+ years of Automation systems' experience

Experience utilizing Rockwell Automation Studio 500 or Allen Bradley

Integration experience with PLC, HMI, SCADA platforms (examples: Allen Bradley, Siemens, Omron, ABB, Mitsubishi Electric, Schneider Electric, etc.)

PLC programming, process control &/or distributed control system experience is required.

Experience working with automation components and industrial communication protocols.

Ability create documentation using Microsoft Office is required

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience using Fanuc robotic systems
