The Social Media & Communications Coordinator will be managing social media accounts for a MedTech Education team, primarily supporting a new Instagram account. There will be some responsibility also for creating content for the existing LinkedIn and Twitter business accounts. This person will manage an editorial calendar and will be responsible for posting 2-3 times per week on the social media platforms. Content will be provided from several stakeholders and this person will organize the content and use graphic design skills to prepare it for social media. The content is targeted towards future/incoming orthopedic surgeons as well as convention attendees. They will also be expected to help with social strategy and execution for society meetings across orthopedic businesses, partnering with several marketing teams. In addition to social media responsibilities, support of the education team's initiatives specific to resident and fellow education will occur. Examples of such support could be conducting research on academic programs across the US to help the team better understand their audience, administrative support of online education through an app, and participating in team meetings.
- 2 -- 4 years of experience working as a Social Media Coordinator, or similar role
- Experience with social media management tools -- Planoly preferred
- Strong graphic design skills i.e. Canva
- Creative and proactive personality -- willing to share ideas, thinking ahead about content, best social media practices, etc.
- Self-motivated team player who will take the initiative without daily direction
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to understand our business quickly and write copy for social posts that aligns with our brand
- Digitally savvy
