Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Design of any assembly that had to do repeatable motion

Mechanism designed to meet certain timing and/or force requirements o Use of computer modeling programs (Creo, MatLab Simlulink, etc.)

Industry - Aerospace, DoD, automotive preferred

Bonus if they have designed mechanisms that are flying today

Huge bonus if they have experience with NAVAIR or SEEK EAGLE airworthiness approval

Skillsets

* 8-25 years of experience with the following:

Mechanism Design - Both CAD design and physical product / prototype experience

Joints, Slides, Cams, Gears, Springs, and incorporation into an assembly modeling

Linkage Design

Machine Design

Flexible Mechanical Elements (Compliant Mechanism)

Mechanical Wear

Kinematics-Modeling/Simulation

Calculation of forces, linkage displacements, velocities, and accelerations

Multibody dynamics

Physical testing

Modeling tool experience (Creo, MatLab Simlulink, etc.)

Electromechanical Integration

Mechanical and electrical integration (i.e. actuators or solenoids to mechanisms)
