Job Description
As a Principal Engineer, you will provide technical leadership across multiple
engineering teams and drive the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable,
secure, and cloud-native platforms. You will partner with Engineering Leaders, Product
Owners, Architects, and Platform teams to deliver strategic technology initiatives while
establishing engineering standards and best practices across the organization.
This role combines hands-on engineering expertise with architectural leadership,
focusing on Python, SQL, Redis, Docker, Azure Cloud, System Design, and
Enterprise Architecture. You will be responsible for shaping the technical vision,
guiding engineering teams, and ensuring the reliability, scalability, and operational
excellence of mission-critical systems.

Required Skills & Experience
12+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 5+ years in Senior
Staff, Principal Engineer, or Architecture roles.
• Expert-level proficiency in Python and API-driven application development.
• Strong expertise in SQL, database design, performance optimization, and data
architecture.
• Deep knowledge of Docker and containerized application development.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure Cloud services and cloud-native
architecture.
• Experience implementing observability and monitoring using Azure Monitor and
related services.
• Strong background in Distributed Systems, System Design, and Enterprise
Architecture.
• Strong understanding of software quality engineering, automated testing
frameworks, code review processes, and release governance.
• Experience designing and supporting mission-critical, highly scalable production
systems.
• Proficiency with Git, Jira, Confluence, and Agile development methodologies.
• Excellent communication, leadership, stakeholder management, and mentoring
skills.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related
field
Preferred Qualifications
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM
Templates.
• Experience with event streaming and messaging technologies such as Kafka.
• Exposure to Platform Engineering and Site Reliability Engineering practices.
• Experience leading large-scale cloud transformation initiatives.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD tooling, GitHub Actions, Infrastructure
as Code (Terraform/Bicep), and platform automation.
• Experience with Kubernetes, preferably Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
