Pay Rate

Job Description

Run pre‑shift huddles (safety/topic/KPIs), deploy labor to receiving, selection, loading, inventory based on the demand plan
Monitor throughput, accuracy, and safety in real time; clear jams, re-balance lanes, and call support as needed
Validate adherence to SOPs, temperature controls, PPE, GMP, and food safety requirements
Oversee cycle counts, damage/shrink investigations, and inventory adjustments; escalate discrepancies
Ensure scan compliance, pick accuracy, and proper pallet build/stretch-wrap for safe transport
Approve breaks/lunches, handle attendance issues, and document performance conversations
Partner with Transportation, Inventory Control, and Maintenance to meet on-time dispatch
Track shift metrics (UPH/CPH, error %, shorts/overages, damages, near-misses) and submit end-of-shift reports
Conduct coaching and on-the-job training; validate task proficiency and sign-offs during onboarding
Maintain housekeeping/5S and readiness for audits; lead safety talks and incident follow-ups
Support hiring, onboarding, and PIT refresher/recertification scheduling with HR/Safety

Required Skills & Experience

2–3+ years of warehouse team supervision (leading 10–25+ associates in high‑volume distribution)
Proven experience assigning labor, setting daily plans, managing start-up / shift handoff / end-of-shift routines
Demonstrated results managing productivity, accuracy, safety, quality, and attendance KPIs
Hands-on experience in order selection, palletizing, cycle counts, loading, RF scanning, and WMS usage
Ability to coach, train, and develop associates; conduct corrective action and performance reviews
Strong safety leadership (LOTO, PIT environments, near-miss reporting, root-cause & corrective actions)
Comfortable supervising work in ambient, cooler, and freezer zones; ability to meet physical demands (lifting to 50 lbs)
Solid problem-solving and floor presence—can jump in to remove bottlenecks and meet service levels
Clear, professional communication (verbal/written); can run pre-shift meetings and escalate effectively
Basic Excel & reporting skills (labor plan vs. actuals, UPH/CPH, error rate, shrink, attendance)
Willingness to support variable end-times and overtime to complete nightly workload

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Food/grocery distribution experience (temperature-controlled operations)
WMS experience with ROMEO (KeHE) or similar (Blue Yonder/JDA, Manhattan, SAP EWM)
PIT certifications (forklift, reach, rider jack) and OSHA/HAACP familiarity
Experience supervising 2nd/3rd shift or 12‑hour operations
Background improving pick-path, slotting, or labor standards/engineered standards
Exposure to Lean/5S/Kaizen and incident investigation (RCA / CAPA)
