Job Description

On a daily basis, this Payroll Specialist will process employee payroll by calculating hours, overtime, and deductions while verifying data accuracy. They will ensure compliance with payroll regulations, support tax filings, and maintain detailed employee records. The role also involves collaborating with HRIS and operations teams, responding to employee payroll inquiries, and resolving discrepancies to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time. The team is looking for a self-starter, high energy addition to their team

Responsibilities:
• Process payroll including hours worked, overtime, and deductions
• Verify payroll data for accuracy and completeness
• Assist in the preparation of payroll reports
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
• Assist in preparing tax filings and reports
• Maintain accurate payroll records and employee information
• Respond to employee payroll and tax inquiries
• Collaborate with HRIS and operational teams; support audits and reporting

Required Skills & Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in payroll processing
• Experience with payroll software (ADP or Oracle)
• Basic knowledge of payroll laws and regulations
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Familiarity with Time and Labor systems

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Canadian payroll experience (highly preferred)
