Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Pipeline Engineer III in Chicago, Naperville, Columbus or Milwaukee. This individual will be responsible for managing and providing engineering leadership for design of gas transmission and high-pressure distribution projects including scoping, location selection, and design of pipeline replacements and upgrades to operator systems. You will manage a team of engineers on project and functional basis and will function as the project engineer and lead, including interaction and development of projects with the client, as well as communication of status, issues, and scope deviations to assist project managers.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelors degree in Engineering
7+ years of experience in gas pipeline related design, specifically with gas transmission and high-pressure distributions teel gas pipe
Experience in managing, planning, executing pipeline/ILI engineering projects from scope development through construction and as-builting
Extensive technical knowledge of industry codes and standards including ASME/ANSI/API/NFPA/CSA codes (ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, 49 CFR 192, 193 & 195), and NFPA 59A.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Basic proficiency using Computer Aided Design (CAD) software.
Professional Engineer (PE) certification or ability to obtain PE certification within one year.
Experience working as a consulting engineer and/or in a seconded role.
3+ years experience with plastic distribution gas pipeline design
