Job Description
Insight Global’s client is seeking an adminstrative assistant for a 6 month contract-to-hire opportunity in Chicago. The Administrative Assistant will support union members and be the first point of contact for members and union partners.
Job Responsibilities:
• Perform data entry, including updating member and referral records, inputting wage and benefit information, and processing payments.
• Manage daily administrative tasks, including phone calls, visitor greetings, staff and officer support, bookkeeping, job dispatching, and maintaining an updated contract list.
• Maintain office supplies, office equipment, and organized record-keeping, including email and address lists, filing documents, and making copies.
• Handle various accounts and conduct payment reconciliation.
• Assist in setting up training classes and maintaining an up-to-date training list.
• Develop familiarity with the union's venues, employers, members, referrals, and contracts.

Required Skills & Experience
• 1+ years experience in administrative support
• Bilingual English/Spanish
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
• Proven organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to be flexible and adapt to rapid changes
• Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Bookkeeping experience utilizing Quickbooks
• Knowledge of labor unions, including experience in community, political, or social activism related to workers' rights, is a plus.
