Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Secret Cleared Security Engineer II to join our clients team near Scott Air Force Base in O'Fallon, IL. In this role, the Security Engineer will support Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities and continuous monitoring efforts across assigned PMOs. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include reviewing NIST controls, STIGs, and SRGs for compliance, analyzing vulnerability scans (ACAS/Nessus), documenting findings in eMASS, and developing and managing POA&Ms to support remediation and risk acceptance. The engineer will collaborate closely with government customers, developers, and system administrators to resolve security findings, support system authorization and A&A reporting, evaluate security controls and testing results, and provide recommendations to improve security posture, support modernization efforts, and ensure systems remain compliant throughout their lifecycle. This role will require an individual to be onsite full time.

Required Skills & Experience
Active DoD Secret clearance
1+ years of experience in Security Engineering, ISSO, ISSM, SCA, or Cybersecurity Engineering
Experience supporting RMF (Risk Management Framework) activities
Hands‑on experience with eMASS
Experience reviewing vulnerability scans (ACAS/Nessus) and managing remediation
Active IAM Level II certification (CISSP/Associate, CISM, CGRC, CASP+, GSLC, etc.)
Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related IT field
Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with technical and non‑technical stakeholders
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience supporting USTRANSCOM or other DoD PMOs
Experience participating in Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs)
Background in acquisition program milestone reviews
Experience working with DISA inheritance providers
Familiarity with Incident Response, Contingency Planning, or FISMA reporting
