Job Description

Core Duties & Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities

Lead and monitor midsize to large‑scale projects across multiple departments
Design, implement, maintain, and optimize Epic clinical applications
Perform workflow assessments and gather business requirements
Analyze internal systems to determine functional requirements
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and end users to meet clinical needs
Build, upgrade, and enhance systems as needed
Support applications through all phases of implementation
Deliver implementation training, support, troubleshooting, and maintenance
Configure vendor applications and products
Maintain system documentation, specifications, and procedures
Define and document user requirements
Apply project planning and project management methodologies
Coordinate and manage short‑duration projects
Monitor project progress, deliverables, and outcomes
Develop test plans, prepare test data, and perform system testing
Provide on‑call system support as scheduled
Audit entered user data for accuracy
Troubleshoot, track, and resolve system issues
Apply systems development methodologies to resolve problems
Manage multiple assignments simultaneously

Required Skills & Experience

7 years of Epic application experience accepted in lieu of a Bachelor’s
2–3 years of blood bank experience
Epic certification(s)
Proficiency with information systems technology, including Microsoft Office products
Experience leading projects and providing consultative guidance on change initiatives
Ability to split time across multiple projects while meeting deadlines
Experience leading meetings with business stakeholders, technical resources, and third parties

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Certified Epic Beaker
Experience with the SoftBank blood bank system
