Job Description
A client of Insight Global is looking for a Molding Process Engineer to work onsite in Nashville, IL.
General Job Duties
• Must be able to at least meet the physical demands as defined by the current production requirements and the job function evaluation. See job function evaluation in the Occupational Nurse’s office for more details.
• Manufacturing environment using normal PPE and safety precautions.

• Specific Job Duties
•
• Sets up manufacturing processes and designs work stations, tools and fixtures that are economically correct.
• Develops and changes Autocad drawings.
• Coordinates engineering changes, and assists manufacturing in continuous process improvement and troubleshooting problems with production processes and new program launches.
• Coordinates and tracks the launch of new programs in the assigned areas.
• Monitors VID’s and determines and implements any process improvements based on data collected.
• Coordinates ISIR submissions.
• Develops in-process gauge specifications.
• Develops data required to submit customer quotes for new business.
• Represents company at assembly plants for problem evaluation / resolution and during program launches.
• Sets up and archives data. Develops and modifies database for charting. Sets up specification data and limits for all assigned processes and performs ongoing maintenance of these specifications.
• Develops and / or reviews production procedures.
• Maintains an acceptable attendance record.
• Runs capability studies, monitors gauge and SPC data monthly. Reviews and investigates NCN’s, Deviation Requests, QA Notices, etc. for recommendations and corrections.
• Documents, formats and presents information for 8-D’s, AFE’s, CIP’s, etc. to Management.
• Demonstrate proficiency programming Sepro and Fanuc robots.
• Streamline the manufacturing process by automation
• Maintain production and service robot programs
• Identify new opportunities for automation within the manufacturing process.
• Develop new programs utilizing all automation components. (IE. flame, trim, etc)
• Troubleshoot automated processes and equipment when errors occur.
• Develop and maintain clear documentation outlining program changes, safety improvements & technical training.
• Keep up with the latest technologies.
• Must be competent in and utilize AIAG "Core Tools"
• Reviews, interprets and summarizes statistical data.
• Maintains a clean and safe work area.
• Participates in department meetings.
• Completes documentation of activities as required.
• Submits cost reduction and Innovation ideas.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
• Willingness to work off shift and weekends as necessary.
Compensation: $80-95k + bonus structure

Required Skills & Experience
Educational Requirements
• B.S. degree in engineering discipline (required).
• Required - One year continuous work experience.
• Preferred - Two years engineering experience in an automotive parts manufacturer.
• Preferred - Experience demonstrating an understanding of advanced SPC principles and application, problem solving, troubleshooting and a working knowledge of AutoCad.
• Must have good problem solving skills.
• Must have good computer skills.
• Must work well with others. Must have good communication skills – both verbal and written.
• Must have good SPC and math skills.
• Must have ability to read and interpret part prints.
