Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Secret cleared traveling Field Service Engineer supporting a large government client. This individual will be traveling domestically up to 80% of the time in the Southwest region. The FSE will provide technical support for the development, test, deployment, and sustainment of a complex telecommunication system. As a FSE on this program, you will be a member of a team that interacts with technical and non-technical teammates, including customers and vendors. In this role, you will be required conduct surveys, assist with the designing of installation packages, conducting equipment and cable installations, administer configurations, providing technical assistance, supporting commissioning testing, troubleshooting, and resolving issues associated with the various network elements.

Compensation:
$38-$50/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience

- Secret Clearance
- Willingness to travel domestically 80% of the time
- Minimum 3 years of experience
- Experience with surveys, installations, pulling and terminating cable, determining, and implementing required pin outs, installing, and configuring Ciena & Cisco equipment, cards power supplies, racks, patch panels, etc., testing, and documenting installations, dressing, and labeling cables, racks, patch panels, etc.
- Working knowledge of Ciena 6500, Ciena 5160, Ciena 5171, and other ancillary equipment.
- Experience with DC power systems.
