Job Description
The Supply Chain Specialist II, Logistics supports Northwestern Medicine’s mission by performing advanced supply chain functions including inventory ordering and replenishment, receiving, equipment, linen, and mail services. This role acts as a functional expert within the supply chain team, supporting process improvement, inventory accuracy, cost containment, and communication with clinical staff. The Specialist II works closely with Supply Chain Leadership and may serve as a point of contact in leadership absence.

Required Skills & Experience
• High School Diploma
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions
• Strong communication skills with staff, patients, and visitors
• Computer literate (MMIS experience preferred – WaveMark / PeopleSoft)
• Ability to work independently and respond quickly under pressure
• Strong organizational and critical thinking skills
• Ability to lift, push, and pull materials safely (hospital environment)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• 5+ years of hospital or healthcare experience
• Knowledge of healthcare supply chain operations
• Associate’s degree in related field
• Lean / Six Sigma experience
Experience acting as a lead or resource within a supply chain team
