Job Description: We are looking for dedicated Construction Inspectors at both junior and senior levels to oversee and ensure the quality and compliance of IDOT construction projects. These roles require a strong understanding of IDOT specifications and a commitment to maintaining high standards of construction. Inspectors will be responsible for field observation, documentation, and communication with project teams.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct on-site inspections of construction work to ensure adherence to plans, specifications, and IDOT standards.
• Document daily activities, progress, and any deviations or issues encountered.
• Perform material sampling and testing as required.
• Communicate effectively with contractors, project managers, and other stakeholders.
• Review project plans and specifications to understand project requirements.
• Prepare inspection reports and maintain accurate records.

Required Skills & Experience
Junior Inspector: 1.5 - 4 years of relevant construction inspection experience.
DOT Experience: Must have current or recent experience with Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) projects. Experience with Illinois Tollway is also acceptable.
Project Focus: Inspection experience with roadway, bridge, and/or utilities (water mains, sewer mains, storm lines) projects within a DOT context.
Certification: Must possess or be able to obtain the IDOT Quantity Certification.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety procedures.
Excellent observation, documentation, and communication skills.
