Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
Perform painting operations after receiving appropriate training and instruction
Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, safety footwear, and respiratory protection as needed
Stand for prolonged periods (up to an 8‑hour shift)
Work safely at heights up to 12 feet using ladders or approved equipment
Lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted
Read and follow blueprints, work instructions, and safety rules
Complete required paperwork accurately and on time
Maintain reliable and predictable attendance, including working scheduled Saturday shifts
Secondary Responsibilities
Prepare units and surfaces for painting (cleaning, masking, prep work)
Clean paint booths and change filters as required
Keep painting equipment, tools, and work areas clean and well‑maintained
Push and pull units into and out of paint booths
Use hoists and material‑handling equipment safely

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Manufacturing/industrial environment with exposure to noise, paint fumes, and moving equipment
Frequent standing, climbing, lifting, and material handling
Ability to work under time pressure and meet production deadlines
Ability to maintain focus and attention to detail over extended periods
Cognitive & Skill Requirements
Inspect painted products and materials for quality and defects
Make routine decisions that impact product quality and safety
Perform basic math functions such as counting, addition, and subtraction
Understand and follow written instructions, safety rules, and basic work documents
Understand and carry out simple verbal instructions
Communicate clearly in standard spoken English
Behavioral & Job Demands
Work effectively as part of a team and cooperate with coworkers
Handle distractions and changing priorities in a production environment
Work independently with minimal direct supervision once trained
Take responsibility for assigned equipment and quality of work
Demonstrate safe work practices at all times
