A large retail company is seeking a skilled and motivated IT Lead to oversee the Workday finance and accounting platform (core financials, Accounting Center, Prism Analytics, etc.), ensuring seamless day-to-day operations, maintenance, data integrity, performance, and compliance. This high-visibility technical role leads the Workday implementation project and assumes ongoing platform ownership, driving configuration, process optimization, enhancements, and automation while partnering closely with Finance, Accounting, FP&A, AP/AR, HR, and IT stakeholders to deliver organizational goals on time. Key responsibilities include leading requirements, fit-gap analysis, and solution design for accounting processes (chart of accounts, journals, allocations, period close, Banking & Settlements, Accounting Center transformations) and Prism Analytics (data modeling, ingestion pipelines, governance, security, certified datasets); managing system upgrades and deployments; overseeing data migration strategy for master data and historical balances; designing integrations for banks, tax engines, subledgers, and data platforms; performing tenant configuration and data loads (EIBs); generating insightful reports; conducting data audits; maintaining security controls; supporting audits; documenting processes; and staying current with Workday best practices and innovations. Required Skills & Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
· Proven experience as a Lead or Manager in implementing and managing Workday's core financials and accounting center, projects, procurement, Prism, etc.
· 6+ years hands-on experience with Workday Financials (Accounting/GL/Close) and Prism Analytics including configuration, integrations, business processes, reporting, and security.
· Strong understanding of financial processes (e.g., general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, budgeting, financial reporting, etc.).
· Certifications in Workday Financials and Accounting Center would be a plus.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
· Experience working in a cross-functional environment, with strong communication skills to interact with non-technical stakeholders.
· Proven experience troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in finance-related applications.
