Job Description

The Data Privacy Specialist role will support the Data Privacy Manager in managing and maintaining the global privacy program of UL Solutions. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with data protection laws by managing privacy operations. The position requires strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in law, Information Management, or related field
• 4-5 years of experience in data privacy compliance or data protection roles within a global organization
• Certifications such as CIPP/E
• Experience with privacy management platforms (TrustArc preferred, One Trust is okay too)
• Strong working knowledge of major privacy regulations and their operational application
• Experience with reviewing and negotiating privacy terms in contracts
• Solid understanding of vendor privacy risk assessments and third-party management
• Knowledge of M&A privacy compliance processes
• Experience in drafting and updating privacy notices
• Strong ability to operationalize privacy (develop playbooks, checklists, and standardized processes)
• Experience conducting privacy risk assessments and advising on privacy risks in technology driven environments
• Proven ability to translate legal requirements into practical operational solutions

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

 CIPM or CIPT Certification
