Job Description
A large retail company is seeking a highly skilled Senior Juniper Network Engineer to support a large-scale retail infrastructure spanning 175+ store locations. This role demands deep expertise in Juniper switching and wireless technologies, advanced troubleshooting capabilities, and the ability to lead technical resolutions in a fast-paced, enterprise environment.
Pay rate: $60-$65
Key Responsibilities:
Resolve critical P1/P2 network incidents and service requests within SLA timelines
Provide expert-level support for Juniper EX series switches and Mist AI wireless access points
Diagnose and resolve complex routing, switching, and connectivity issues
Manage and optimize Juniper Mist AI wireless infrastructure (AP47, AP64)
Maintain detailed incident documentation and generate stakeholder reports
Act as senior escalation point for high-impact network issues
Execute network changes in accordance with change control protocols
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing

Required Skills & Experience
7+ years of enterprise network engineering experience
5+ years of hands-on Juniper switching and wireless experience
Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
Experience supporting retail, branch office, or multi-site networks
Certifications:
JNCIS-ENT (Required)
JNCIA-Junos (Required)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
JNCIP-ENT
JNCIA-MistAI or other wireless-specific certifications
ITIL Foundation
Experience with legacy Juniper infrastructure
Familiarity with retail operations and store-level networking
ITIL process knowledge and certification
Cross-functional project collaboration experience
Exposure to vendor escalation and field technician coordination
