Job Description
A client of Insight Global is seeking a software developer to join an Agile Scrum team focused on delivering releasable software in short sprint cycles. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining software systems—custom, COTS, or GOTS—while collaborating closely with developers, engineers, stakeholders, and end users. You’ll be responsible for producing detailed specifications, writing secure and scalable code, conducting unit testing, and supporting formal testing environments prior to production deployment. The position also includes writing APIs and conversion routines, maintaining awareness of application changes, and contributing to user training documentation. You’ll participate in planning meetings held quarterly onsite in O’Fallon, Illinois, with the rest of the work performed remotely.

Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of Development experience Java (Object Oriented Programming concepts).
Secret clearance
Security + Certified (highly preferred)
Agile
Within 4 hours of O'Fallon Illinois (this team works remotely apart from planning meetings held every 10 weeks requiring to be onsite in O'fallon Illinois)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
* Certification in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology
* Experience with Spring framework
* Familiarity with Service Oriented Architecture / Web Services -- SOAP / REST, JUNIT -- Mockito, and MAVEN
* Experience with Markup Languages like XML and JSON
Experience with Google Go
