Job Description

Right now this global hotel chain needs a data engineer to help with an implementation of a new CDP Platform called Amperity. They will be primarily responsible for building and maintaining data pipelines that unify, activate, and manage customer data across various systems. Their work enables personalized marketing, customer insights, and operational efficiency.

The Senior Cloud/Data Engineer will build, optimize, and maintain our modern data infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with cloud-native data platforms, particularly Snowflake and AWS services, and will develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and feature engineering pipelines. This role will also analyze and amend software errors in a timely and accurate fashion and provide status reports where required. The position responsibilities outlined below are not all encompassing. Other duties, responsibilities, and qualifications may be required and/or assigned as necessary.

• Work with Product team to determine requirements and propose approaches to address users' needs.
• Analyze requirements to determine approach/proposed solution.
• Design and Build Solutions using relevant programming languages.
• Thoroughly test solutions using relevant approaches and tools
• Bring out-of-box thinking and solutions to address challenging issues.
• Effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of experience data engineer who has worked with customer data
Expert with Snowflake advanced features (tasks, stored procedures)
Building data pipelines in AWS
CI/CD, working with the tools and building out the pipelines for the feature store (GitLab and Cloud formation)
Large enterprise background

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Amperity
Local to Mexico City (the client has a Hub in Mexico City)
Someone who has been a part of a CDP integration
Experience with feature store (they own some pipelines that publish data to the feature store that they have called Tecton
Building guest 360
