Job Description

As a member of the Digital Banking Technology team, the Technical Project Manager is responsible for managing day-to-day project activities of complex projects, ensuring project control procedures and policies are adhered to as per technology’s project performance standards. The role demonstrates technical acumen to manage integrations between internal teams and stakeholders, in addition to third party vendors. This role will prepare business cases, and analyze and document complex data and processes to provide estimates of work effort and duration for projects. The Technical Project Manager uses independent judgment to determine methods and approaches to work, utilizing the project tracking system to manage project reviews and prepare and distribute project status, updates, and progress reports to project stakeholders. In addition, the role acts as a resource integrator for their area, managing stakeholder expectations related to the project scope and timeline constraints.

• Lead and manage technical projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and product management, to define project scope and deliverables.
• Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely delivery.
• Facilitate regular project meetings, providing updates to stakeholders and addressing any concerns.
• Ensure adherence to project management methodologies and best practices.
• Manage project budgets and track expenditures to ensure financial accountability.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by analyzing project outcomes and implementing lessons learned.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications.

Required Skills & Experience

• Overall 5+ years in hands-on technical roles, preferably as a software developer, + most recent 2-3 years as a technical project manager
• Project management experience managing cross-portfolio projects in a matrix environment (Agile, Waterfall, and SDLC)
