This Manual QA tester will be working at a global hotel chain on multiple projects that need ongoing testing. This team supports 3 areas within the dev space: Group Sales, Luxury Travel program, and Corporation discount. They will be working on an application that searches for properties and events. They will be doing front end web testing, testing Web UI, test the search function, and usability.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Test tickets by analyzing acceptance criteria, understanding implementation, running manual tests, documenting test cases
Work with product and engineering to clarify use cases, feature requirements and workflows
Write detailed easy-to-read defect reports for engineers to replicate issues
Test applications according to industry standards for usability, data accuracy and performance
Contribute to QA documentation for manual smoke and regression testing
Communicate test progress and blockers with team leads as needed to support the sprint goals
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of modern browser and web technologies on desktop and mobile web

5+ years of experience manually testing UI components for complex web applications
5+ years of experience working with Agile and sprint cycles
Experience testing API calls using a tool like Swagger, Postman or cURL
Proficiency documenting defects with a high level of clarity, detail and accuracy
Excellent English communication skills, both spoken and written
Proficiency in Jira and Confluence, and a collaboration team application like Teams or Slack
Ability to understand basic SQL queries and JSON data
Experience using Chrome dev tools to analyze service requests
Experience debugging with a logging tool like Splunk or DataDog
