Job Description

One of Insight Globals law firm clients is is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager (TPM) with a strong background in IT infrastructure, data integration and migration, and exposure to legal or compliance-driven environments. This role is critical in planning, executing, and delivering complex technology projects, including the integration and migration of data across systems in regulated environments. Ideal candidates will be technically proficient, highly organized, and skilled in stakeholder communication across legal, business, and IT teams.

Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
Build partnerships and serve as the liaison with internal departments and external vendors/partners, effectively identifying, understanding, and delivering desired solutions and value to the organization.
Analyze problems/opportunities and identify creative solutions for business challenges.
Lead and manage end-to-end execution of IT infrastructure projects, including network upgrades, cloud initiatives, cybersecurity, and system modernization.
Plan and execute complex data integration and migration initiatives, ensuring accuracy, data integrity, minimal business disruption, and compliance with legal and security requirements.
Collaborate with legal, compliance, and technical stakeholders to deliver projects that align with legal industry standards (e.g., data retention, discovery, or regulatory compliance).
Translate business and legal requirements into technical specifications, project plans, and actionable milestones.
Facilitate cross-functional coordination between infrastructure teams, developers, vendors, and legal/compliance departments.
Develop and maintain documentation including project charters, SOWs, data mapping specs, migration runbooks, and validation checklists.
Identify, track, and mitigate risks while ensuring adherence to legal, data privacy, and industry best practices.
Provide leadership and direction across diverse technical teams and ensure timely delivery within scope and budget.
Prepare and communicate project status and reports for project teams, sponsors, project governance committee and other stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum 710+ years of project management experience in IT, with a strong emphasis on infrastructure-related initiatives (e.g., networks, servers, cloud, cybersecurity, data integration/migration projects, etc.).
At least 3+ years of project management experience in an enterprise PMO with professional services or law firm experience
Proven experience leading data integration/migration efforts (e.g., system consolidations, legacy system decommissioning, M&A integrations) across platforms or cloud environments.
Solid understanding of data architecture, ETL processes, data mapping, and validation/testing procedures.
Technical proficiency in infrastructure environments (e.g., Windows Server, Azure/AWS, Active Directory, virtualization, endpoint management).
Strong experience with project and process management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, Smartsheet, Asana, Visio) and documentation platforms (e.g., Confluence, SharePoint).
Working knowledge of project management life cycle (PMLC), software development life cycles (SDLC) and experience collaborating with development teams.
PMP, PRINCE2, ITIL, CSM or similar project management certification

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

CMMC cybersecurity requirements driven implementation experience
Agile/Scrum certification (CSM, PMI-ACP)
integration platforms.
Exposure to legal industry software: iManage, NetDocuments, Relativity, or contract lifecycle management systems.
Familiarity with legal industry regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, or other data protection and privacy standards.
Legal IT operations experience in a law firm or legal service provider environment.
