Job Description

One of Insight Globals largest food & beverage clients is seeking a motivated Associate Product Owner/Technical Lead who is ready to take their first step into a leadership role, bridging technical implementation and team collaboration in our clients omnichannel technology ecosystem. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious technologist to develop leadership skills while contributing to innovative technology solutions.

The Omnichannel team focuses on a lot of reporting and analytics tools and have recently consolidated their platforms and teams to remove silos and build true omnichannel solutions. The Associate Product Owner/Technical Lead will partner with the Lead Product Owner of North America Omnichannel Analytics who will set the strategies for their roadmaps. This individual will be responsible for the technical side, analyzing data, interpreting that data, scoping to achieve business objectives, and pass the data long to a team of 20 (Business Intelligence, Data Engineers, Data Stewardships, Data Architects). They will document the technical requirements in Jira and work with the Lead to break it into technical tasks. The candidate must be a self-starter, ambitious, analytical, solution orientated and comfortable working with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Promote a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and technical excellence
Act as a translator between technical teams and non-technical management
Communicate complex technical concepts in clear, accessible language
Participate in strategic planning and technology roadmap development
Provide accurate technical estimates and help manage project expectation
Lead cross-functional teams in delivering complex omnichannel technology projects
Develop and maintain project timelines, technical specifications, and documentation
Implement agile methodologies and continuous improvement processes
Manage technical debt and prioritize system improvements
Ensure alignment between technical solutions and business objectives
Clear any development hurdles that may arise, whether it be closing technical knowledge gaps, finding answers to product questions, or streamlining existing operations.

Required Skills & Experience

1-2+ years of data analytics experience
Experience with at least 1 of the following: PowerBI, Python, SQL
Experience writing user stories in Jira
Agile experience with the ability to work with cross-functional team
Soft skills: self-starter, takes initiative, strategic thinking/vision setter, collaborative, problem-solver

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Ecommerce or Retail industry experience
Data analysis experience with Scintilla (previously Luminate)
Solution/process mapping experience
Cloud experience
Understanding of emerging technologies like AL, ML, or advanced analytics
