Job Description

A federal client of Insight Global is seeking a Software Developer to design, code, debug, test, and maintain web applications. The role involves developing skills in an Agile environment, assisting in web application development using Java, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and SQL, and participating in the entire SDLC. The developer will collaborate on secure and efficient code implementation, support software testing, engage in Agile Scrum processes, refactor legacy code, maintain system documentation, troubleshoot issues, and participate in code reviews to improve standards.

Required Skills & Experience

- Associate's degree (or higher)
- Must have active Secret clearance or higher.
- Must have one of the following certifications: GCLD, GSEC, CSSLP, FITSP-D, GCSA, GISF, SSCP
- Experience with Java, JavaScript, and other relevant programming languages such as HTML/CSS and SQL.
- Familiarity with web development frameworks and tools such as Angular 2, Spring Boot, or similar.
Experience working in Linux (preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux - RHEL) and Windows environments.
- Basic understanding of secure coding practices and familiarity with tools such as Fortify Static Code Analyzer (SCA) or SonarQube.
- Exposure to Agile development methodologies and familiarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence, and GitLab.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Bachelor's degree
