The Business Risk Platform Team provides development and maintenance support for the tools and engines that Risk Ops team use to monitor merchants' processing behavior. The system has a model with rules that flag any merchant accounts that warrant further investigation.
The work required is to improve the current model with a set of predefined rules to meet our clients regulatory and compliance obligations. The Fullstack (Ruby on Rails) Engineer will have expertise to manage the tool and introduce new rules in a seamless fashion with zero downtime. To properly introduce changes, the platform must meet data quality metrics consistent with our clients Data Governance Policies, monitoring, and security policies.
Our client operates in a cloud environment which requires a deep understanding of cloud storage and computing resources and networking capabilities. Security is of utmost importance, and they require systems to be operable by mitigating security and operational risks via regular updates to dependencies, frameworks, and code base, they require keeping a low vulnerability score per quarter.
The Fullstack (Ruby on Rails) Developer is responsible for managing the complete software development process from conception to deployment, maintaining and upgrading the software following deployment, managing the end-to-end life cycle for the production of software and applications, overseeing and guiding the analyzing, writing, building, and deployment of software, overseeing the automated testing and providing feedback to management during the development process, modifying and testing changes to previously developed programs.

6+ years of experience in designing and writing understandable, testable, and easy-to-maintain software (Ruby, Ruby on Rails).
o Frontend: JavaScript, CSS3, HTML5, ReactJS, Angular, and jQuery
o Knowledge of UI/UX and basic prototype design
o Server: Nginx, Linux, Kubernetes
3+ years of experience with relational databases (ideally PostgreSQL).
Deep knowledge of industry design patterns and object-oriented programming.
Commitment to operational excellence through the development of automation, instrumentation of code, and monitoring solutions.
Familiarity with pair programming and TDD
Agile experience
