Job Description

This Loss Mitigation analyst will be managing and supporting relationships for a Federal, Chicago based bank. They will focus on Fannie Mae Loss Mitigation, specifically with SMDU. They will also perform servicing functions for the MPF (Mortgage Partnership Finance) Program. There are three major functions of this role: 1) answering customer service calls 2)respond to customer service emails 3) answer questions that mortgage servicers have about the MPF program
* Responsible for Mortgage Partnership Finance Default Management functions
* Act as liaison or customer support for PFI's and members with issues or inquiries
* Charged with the resolution of issues appropriate to the position's level of expertise
* Will be expected to escalate issues/inquiries outside of the position's level of expertise to appropriate parties within the Bank
* Evaluate loss mitigation plans based on the MPF Servicing guides and processes.
* Complete training as required to comply with policies/procedures.
* Documented analysis of a workout approval/denial and forwarded to appropriate party for final resolution

Required Skills & Experience

4+ years of Fannie Mae Loss Mitigation underwriting experience
SMDU experience, strong expertise needed in this
Customer Service experience (in banking or mortgage industry)
Bachelor's degree or equivalent Mortgage Banking work experience
MS Office product (notably Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access) knowledge
Comfortable with consistency, but not afraid of change
They will be training and mentoring junior analysts, so they have to either have had that experience in the past, or the desire to help train and mentor.

LOCAL TO CHICAGO to come on site 1-2 times per month.
