Insight Global is seeking two commercial painters in the greater Chicago, IL area. Candidates will be responsible for painting both interior and exterior surfaces in commercial properties such as Ross for Less, Sporting Goods, Walmart, gas stations, strip malls, Dicks, restaurants, and more.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Surface Preparation: using techniques such as sandpaper, wire brushes, abrasive blasting, scraping, and power washing to remove old paint and ensure surfaces are ready for painting.
2. Filling and Sealing: fill holes and divots with putty, plaster, or caulk, and seal cracks and corners where building materials meet to prevent moisture infiltration.
3. Color Mixing and Application: mixing colors or oils to achieve the desired color or consistency. Apply various finishes to equipment, buildings, bridges, or other structures. This includes spraying paint and coatings on structural steel and applying primers or sealers to new bare wood or metal surfaces.
4. Equipment Maintenance: Maintainng trucks and equipment used for painting.
5. Safety Compliance: Must observe and follow all OSHA and company safety policies and procedures while executing their job.
6. Quality Assurance: Inspect completed work and perform necessary touch-ups to ensure quality.

* 5-10 years' experience in commercial or industrial painting
* Ability to work independently and speak to superintendents professionally.
* Able to use boom or scissor lifts
* Good communication, professional and reliable
* Experience patching walls, spray painting ceilings and walls
