Must be local to Houston or Chicago and go on site once per week
5-10 years of experience as a data analyst with SQL
Strong hands on SQL skills -- must have experience writing complex queries, working with large data sets, and store procedures
- Working with stored procedures to pull business rules
Supply chain background - inventory planning, part forecasting, segmentation -- someone who has worked as a DA within supply chain/ supply chain
Hands on python -- understanding of how to read code and write basic python

+Redshift experience -- redshift queries (if they know sql they can pick up redshift / writing stored procedures in redshift)
DTD: The project is re engineering a large piece of code -- 15 stored procedures -- 10k lines of code total across the stored procs. They will have to understand the logic behind the stored procs and pull the business rules out. They will have to redesign the entire segmentation piece in supply chain. On a daily basis they will look into the sql code, analyze it and then start taking out the business rules from the sql -- use this formula to forecast cost of an order for a part -- that rule could be in SP 1, same rule could be in SP 7 and 12 also for a different part and could be different in part 12. Goal is to extract all the business rules, document it, understand it, then work with business to validate the rules and standardize it - home grown business rules engine in Redshift. Working directly with the business great comm.
