Job Description

This Business Data Analyst will be working with our client's Data and Analytics workstream to support a new initiative to re-engineer/re-create their data warehousing & data lakes due to a recent divestiture. This is an urgent & critical project because at the end of their 2 year TSA (Transactional Service Agreement) period all of these data sources will break. This role requires the individual to be technically strong with data while also being able play the role as a BA/PM at times. They will be responsible for surveying the business to understand ultimately what is needed to run the business- understanding how they use data including what reports they use, what their data sources are, how data is fed etc. They will work hand and hand with the PM on the team in addition to the data and analytics teams. This individual will be responsible for various reporting and needs to understand how to map data, SAP data, visualization tools ( etc. PowerBI or Tableau), Neilson IRI, Snowflake, Data Lakes, and AWS. Flexible to coming onsite as needed (Battle Creek, MI / Naperville, IL).

Required Skills & Experience

+3-5 years of experience as a Business Data Analyst experience in a large enterprise environment

Project coordination experience in a technology space

Experience working with stakeholders and technical teams

Knowledge of visualization tools: Tableau or PowerBI

Reporting & Requirement gathering

Knowledge of Data Lakes & Data Warehousing

Data Mapping experience

Able to work independently

Strong communication skills- oral & written with an emphasis on strong documentation skills

Excellent organizational skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

AWS Experience

SAP experience

Snowflake
