Job Description

This large financial institution is looking for a Marketing Data Analyst to work within the US Marketing and Analytics team within personal and business banking. The core part of this role is providing recommendations to marketing to drive optimal marketing activities for campaigns, adding insights to overall program. Talk to business partners to talk about what KPIs they want to track, how to best answer their questions and fill the gap in the knowledge that they have.

Data they are looking into:

- Downloading mobile app

- Do they have debit card

- How long have they been a customer

- Take that data and put together profiled or segmentations of customers to look at who their best customers are vs. customers who they have the ability to win more of a relationship from, telling a customer story.

- High level of business customers leaving the bank, why are they leaving?

Required Skills & Experience

- 3+ years of experience in data analytics working with complex data structures, specifically with customer data (Digital media or paid media data is a plus)

- Experience with SAS Coding (not just drag and drop), SAS Enterprise Guide preferred OR Python/R coding

- SQL: write code in SQL, write SQL queries from scratch to get access to data

- Power BI or Tableau to build dashboards (Power BI preferred)

- Experience interfacing/presenting to business partners

- Experience pulling multiple pieces of information from multiple sources to pull everything together and present the data findings

- Goes above and beyond to figure things out, good problem solving skills, asks questions/speaks up when needed

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- SEO, SEM, Google Analytics

- customer segmentation work, cluster analysis

- Understanding of how digital media is purchased

- Experience working with marketing data

- Financial institution experience

- Chicago preferred

- Experience working with marketing or customer data

- Data warehousing and data mining
