Job Description

This company is a leading veterinary management organization looking to hire People Operations Manager. Their hospitals are a premier destination for high-quality, full-service healthcare for pets. They just raised our Series B and are growing rapidly in multiple markets nationally. They have 10 locations today and will have 40 locations by the end of 2023. This company is tripling in size, so they are working in a high growth, fast paced environment.



They are looking for a strong communicator who has exceptional customer service. The People Operations Manager will support the Chief People Officer by optimizing and elevating their People processes, programs and policies to help the company scale. They will help build an engaging culture by focusing on delivering a great employee experience. Creating a great employee experience using data, technology, and a customer focus.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of two (4) years' relevant experience.

HR experience: basic knowledge of HR laws, strategies, policies, and practices

HR Generalist: benefits administration, onboarding, offboarding, employee relations, HRIS guru (but will outsource some of the HR admin automation, using technology to help from an HR standpoint)

Operational mindset

HRIS system experience

Excel: in charge of HR data, pulling HR data on a monthly and quarterly basis and presenting it to the Chief People Officer in a deck, outlining a story of the data

Startup or high growth environment experience (large corporate environment would not be a fit for this)

Eagerness to try new and creative approaches

Strong communication skills, effective listening, and ability to connect with individuals across the organization

Proven analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to analyze data, understand trends, and develop recommendations for action based on the analysis

A consistent track record of support, program & project management, and business partnership within a dynamic and fast-paced environment

Exceptional customer service focus, including attention to producing quality results while building positive relationships.

Strong written and verbal communication, tailoring details and messages to the audience.

Experience/knowledge of outsourcing pieces of work such as: HRIS Admin responsibilities, etc.

Vendor screening to figure out where this person will have the most impact, and what they should outsource so that they can focus on employee experience.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

State compliance work (as they will eventually have a presence in most US states)
